About STOTT PILATES®
"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness"
- Joseph Pilates
The Pilates method is a carefully balanced exercise system based on the teaching material and theory of Joseph Pilates.
The STOTT PILATES method is a contemporary and holistic approach to the original exercise method.
Co-founders Moira and Lindsay G. Merrithew (Canada), along with a team of physiotherapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent more than thirty years refining the STOTT PILATES method and equipment.
The 6 STOTT PILATES biomechanical principles form the basis of all training and certification programs.
By focusing on concentration and control of the exercises, both the physical and mental aspects are addressed with the aim of: Improved body awareness, improved posture, strength and mobility: the key to optimizing daily functional movement and well-being.
The courses are offered worldwide by specially trained Instructor Trainers: K'dans is the training center in the Netherlands.
