Jaarlijks dienen de gecertificeerde STOTT PILATES® docenten CEC workshops te volgen om hun kennis up to date te houden. Tegelijkertijd een leuke manier om 'in beweging' te ontmoeten en in verbinding te blijven met collegae en studenten van de STOTT PILATES® community.


Every year, certified STOTT PILATES teachers must attend CEC workshops to keep their knowledge up to date. At the same time, a fun way to meet 'in motion' and stay connected with colleagues and students from the STOTT PILATES® community.


De  Master Mentor Middagen helpen je op weg naar je examen, geven inspiratie rondom een bepaald thema of geven ruimte om je eigen vaardigheid op te krikken.

Reformer & Padded Platform Extender

Learn to use the Reformer as a customizable tool to train and condition exercisers of any fitness level by adding the Padded Platform Extender and Pole. Discover how the Extender can be used for sitting, standing or kneeling exercises, in this workshop developed by the Merrithew® team. Discover how the Pole brings focus to maintaining optimal scapular stability and promoting desired movement patterns.

  • Apply the STOTT PILATES Principles to select exercises on the Reformer and Padded Platform Extender.

Athletic Conditioning on the Cardio-Tramp Rebounder

The workout, designed to stimulate both cardiovascular and muscular effectiveness is ideal for both the recreational and professional athlete. Discover how to combine progressive plyometric intervals, varying both in length and intensity, with muscular strength and endurance moves on the vertical mini trampoline. The routine features non-traditional Pilates exercises that use the incredible diversity of the Reformer to effectively train both concentric and eccentric muscular ability.

  • Apply the STOTT PILATES Principles of the STOTT PILATES method to targeted exercises on the Cardio-Tramp.
  • Understand movement essence and exercise goals as applied to athletic conditioning.
  • Explore how the Cardio-Tramp can be beneficial to athletic training.
  • Learn how plyometrics and strength conditioning can be achieved on the Cardio-Tramp.

STOTT PILATES® Athletic Conditioning with the Twist BallTM

This workshop, developed by the Merrithew® team, uses the Twist Ball to highlight common athletic approaches and programming. The Twist Ball offers up a unique opportunity to incorporate load in both static and via swing and throwing actions that enhance and stimulate the neuro-myofascial system. Use the Twist Ball to diversify programming, add load and give direction and focus to movement. Workshop content is designed for healthy, conditioned participants eager and able to incorporate an athletic-style challenge into their Pilates practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Understand, review and enhance basic tenets of commonly accepted sports conditioning movements and protocols.

2. Explore concepts of load, momentum and agility in relation to athletic programming and how these concepts are addressed

with the inclusion of the Twist Ball to programming.

3. Experience variations to standard athletic exercises and how STOTT PILATES-based concepts contribute to increases in overall fitness.

4. Elicit engagement and responsiveness in preparation for and to complement existing sports conditioning programs and/or training.

STOTT PILATES® Experience Movement to Improve Awareness & Teaching 

In order to be successful teachers, Pilates Instructors need a deep awareness of how their own body works and feels. Every individual develops a unique style of movement that is used in everyday activities. These distinct patterns may not be the most efficient. The use of self-exploration and observation can bring awareness to how we move and the characteristics of these movements known as movement qualities. The resultant awareness can facilitate more efficient and effective exercise choices for future programming for clients and self. In addition, this standing warm up can be used to facilitate self-exploration of common movement patterns in combination with the STOTT PILATES Principles, focusing on movement qualities that stimulate the fascial system. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Experience a standing warm up to observe and develop awareness of preferred or habitual movement patterns.
2. Explore how the STOTT PILATES Principles are incorporated in more dynamic movement sequences.
3. Use warm up exercises to incorporate recognized movement patterns, movement qualities and fascial integration.
4. Develop an understanding of how individual movement preferences can provide a framework for programming goals.
